Family Life Enrichment

At Sovereign Grace Church Toronto we care a great deal about families. We believe strong families are the basis of strong communities and the foundation of all healthy societies. The abiding values of mutual love and respect are often missing from the families in this generation. And yet it is what each of us longs for.

At Sovereign Grace Church Toronto we intentionally seek to strengthen and encourage families in a multitude of ways. This generation is filled with people who have experienced much pain and brokenness in their relationships with others. Thankfully, the Bible offers true hope for this vital area of our lives. At Sovereign Grace Church Toronto we specifically teach and train on the way the gospel impacts relationships in the home. Whether in one-to-one sessions, counseling, or in our small groups, the marriage relationship is intentionally prioritized. We realize that strong marriages are something that matters to God and are an overflow of right relationships with Him.

We also seek to help parents raise their children with wisdom and love by focusing on guiding their hearts not just their actions. The Bible has much to say about this vital area. On top of that, God promises to help us raise our children well, if we will invite him into the process. In our small groups we often discuss matters related to the home and sometimes have special training aimed at fathers & sons and mothers & daughters.

At Sovereign Grace Church Toronto we desire to communicate to our people what it means to be masculine and feminine in a culture that seems to blur this distinction with increasing force. We see the local church as one of the best places to teach and nurture these values. Strong values are caught as much as taught.
